The best diving season in Zanzibar starts in March, it is the rainy season and lasts until the end of May. The visibility is at its best and you can see more and bigger fish on almost every dive than the rest of the year.
With the cooler water temperatures, small fish species such as sardines and pilchards appear at our dive sites. These attract the larger predators such as the barracudas, groupers, kingfish and cobias. March to May is the season when you can encounter bigger fish on almost every dive.
